Newsletter: September with Queer Theatre. Featuring Cassidy Janson, Nathaniel J. Hall and our 1st Birthday Party!
This month, we celebrate our first full year of Queer Theatre, September brings a month packed with opportunities to learn, connect, and celebrate. Our 2B: Acting Classes for LGBTQ+ People continue every Monday, offering a weekly space to develop your craft, meet other queer performers, and explore LGBTQIA+ material in a safe space.
We’re thrilled to welcome Olivier Award-winner Cassidy Janson to The Show People Podcast for an intimate evening of conversation, stories, and song from one of the West End’s most versatile performers. Just a few days later, our Queer Play Reading Club dives into Nathaniel J. Hall’s groundbreaking First Time, with Nathaniel himself joining us to share insights into his life, work, and activism.
And to cap it all off, we’ll come together for Queer Theatre’s 1st Birthday Party — a celebration of everything we’ve built in just twelve months, with performances, VIP guests, a special auction, and dancing until late.
Whether you’ve been with us from the beginning or are thinking about joining us for the first time, September is the perfect moment to be part of Queer Theatre. Every ticket sold helps us continue to nurture queer talent and ensure LGBTQ+ theatre-makers always have somewhere to belong.

One year ago, Queer Theatre was born with the bold ambition of creating weekly events where LGBTQIA+ theatre-makers could learn, grow, and never feel alone again.
In our first year we launched 2B: Acting Classes, OutCast showcases, and the Queer Play Reading Club, relaunched The Show People Podcast, and welcomed legends including Sir Stephen Fry, Sir Ian McKellen, Mary Mac, Cassidy Janson, Adele Anderson, Annette Badland and Martin Sherman as guests and supported. We’ve celebrated queer cinema, marched at Pride events, hosted the Queer Theatre Awards, and fostered friendships that endure and careers which inspire.
Now it’s time to celebrate at our 1st birthday party! Expect performances, VIP guests, a special auction, and DJ until 4am.
💸 Entry by donation. Tickets must be booked in advance. First come, first served.
