Luvvie:
Gods & Monsters Party
for Queer Theatre-Makers & Our Allies

Friday 8th May 2026
Doors: 7pm | Cabaret from 8pm | Industry Auction at 9:30pm | DJ until 4am
The Two Brewers, Clapham

Queer Theatre is launching Luvvie: parties for queer theatre-makers and our allies to meet, perform, and dance until late. Whether you’re a lead in the West End, an emerging producer, or a stage manager starting out on the fringe. If you’re LGBTQIA+ or an ally, Luvvie is a safe space to connect with like minded artists all together under one roof.

And we’re taking over The Two Brewers for a herculean Friday night of divine chaos: West End cabaret acts (to be announced), god-like VIP industry guests, an auction of titanic treasures, and a DJ until 4am.

Serve face. Serve myth. Serve monster.

All profits from ticket sales and our Industry Auction go towards fundraising for Queer Theatre and the work we do nurturing queer talent and telling LGBTQIA+ stories in London.

What Is Luvvie?

A luvvie is theatre slang for an actor or theatre person, often said with affection: flamboyant, passionate, slightly dramatic, and completely devoted to the craft.

As our patron Sir Stephen Fry puts it:

“A luvvie is someone who loves the theatre so much it becomes their natural habitat.”

Luvvie is also something very specific we’re building at Queer Theatre: a place where LGBTQIA+ performing arts artists (and our allies) can come together and meet, flirt, dance, and connect informally, outside auditions, rehearsal rooms, and industry pressure. Come as you are, and leave with new mates, new collaborators, and new stories.

Dress Code: Gods & Monsters

Costumes inspired by folklore, Greek mythology, queer popular culture, or however you wish to express yourself. Dressing up is strongly encouraged, but not required.

Prizes will be given for the best costume.
