Queer Theatre Marching At
Pride In London
Saturday 4th July 2026
Pride In London
Queer Theatre is proud to be marching at Pride in London 2026, joining LGBTQIA+ people, artists, theatre-makers, friends and allies from across the city for one of the biggest days in London’s queer calendar.
This year’s Pride in London theme is Many Voices. One Front. As Queer Theatre, we are proud to represent the many voices that make up our performing arts community.
Pride is joyful, powerful and fabulous, but it is also busy, crowded and carefully managed. Please read the information below so we can keep the day safe, smooth and brilliant for everyone marching with us.
How To March with Us
To march with Queer Theatre at Pride in London 2026, we ask for a £20 contribution to help cover the costs of the day. This includes your Pride in London wristband/place in our group, a Queer Theatre vest for you to keep, music to march to, and Pride decorations.
After listening to feedback from last year, we know that having different colours, sizes and shapes available was important to people. So this year, we are offering gym-style Queer Theatre vests in a sport-style material to help keep you more comfortable on the day, rather than heavy cotton.
Vests are available in Sapphire Blue, Electric Pink and Arctic White.
If you would like to wear last year’s t-shirt, we ask for a smaller, £15 contribution to put towards the things we need on the day. Please email info@queertheatre.co.uk so we can send you the payment link to do this.
You are welcome to customise and wear your Queer Theatre clothing however you wish to express yourself.
Deadline to book: Friday 26 June 2026
Meeting Point
Please meet Queer Theatre near the Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial statue inside Grosvenor Square Gardens, Mayfair at 2:30pm sharp.
The memorial is inside Grosvenor Square Gardens on the west side of Grosvenor Square, close to the former US Embassy side of the square.
You can find it on Google Maps by searching: Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial, Grosvenor Square. What three words location ///paid.units.views
How to Get There
The best station to use is Bond Street. Bond Street is the strongest option because it allows you to approach Grosvenor Square from the North/East, which follows Pride in London’s guidance and helps avoid the busiest parade access areas.
Bond Street is served by the Central line, Jubilee line & Elizabeth line.
Accessibility: Bond Street has step-free access. For the Central and Jubilee lines, the step-free route is via the Marylebone Lane entrance. The Elizabeth line station is also step-free from street to train. Please check TfL before travelling in case of lift closures, disruption or day-specific access changes. From Bond Street, head south-west towards Grosvenor Square Gardens and meet us near the Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial.
Please avoid: travelling via: Marble Arch, Park Lane, Hyde Park Corner. Pride in London’s guidance says parade access should be from the North and East, not from Marble Arch, and that access to Park Lane from the roundabout will be blocked. For easier access, Pride recommends approaching the parade area from the East or North. Please also avoid relying on taxis, buses or cars to get directly to Grosvenor Square or Culross Street. Road closures, crowds and parade infrastructure may make this difficult.
Schedule For The Day
Please arrive on time. If you are late, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to find or join the group.
14:30: We will meet near the Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial statue inside Grosvenor Square Gardens. There we will give you your vests, wristbands, and Pride decorations.

We must be in position within this time.
What to Wear
Everyone must wear a Pride in London wristband before we enter the parade area. You can collect your wristband at the meeting point. Please do not remove it, swap it, damage it or leave it loose. No wristband means no parade entry.
Everyone marching with us must also wear a Queer Theatre vest or T-shirt, purchased via the Queer Theatre shop.
You are welcome to customise your Queer Theatre vest or T-shirt however you wish to express yourself and we won’t be offended if you cut it or style it.
Please also wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather.
Placards and Signs
Placards and signs are welcome.
We only remind members that Queer Theatre is an apolitical organisation and does not support or endorse any political party or political cause. Everyone is welcome at Queer Theatre, and we will not accept placards, signs or slogans that could make our members feel uncomfortable, unsafe or unwelcome.
Please keep signs in the spirit of Queer Theatre’s founding principle: everyone is welcome, and we are proud to tell queer stories and nurture queer talent.
If you have any questions about whether your placard or sign is suitable, please email info@queertheatre.co.uk so we can guide you.
Important Parade Rules
Once we enter the parade area, we need to follow Pride in London volunteer instructions at all times.
During the parade, we must:
Keep up with the group ahead.
Keep moving unless instructed otherwise.
Stop at crossing points if told to do so.
Keep any dancing, chanting, performing or filming forward-moving.
Be respectful of other groups, volunteers, spectators and residents.
Avoid blocking the route for photos or performances.
Please remember: this is a parade, not a static performance. Our energy can be big, theatrical and joyful, but it must keep moving.
Toilets and Facilities
Please use the toilet before we enter the parade area.
There are toilets and water points at entry points, but once the parade starts, there are no facilities on the route. If you leave the parade once we start marching, you will not be able to re-enter.
There are also no food vendors in the form-up area and no bins, so please eat beforehand and take any rubbish with you.
What to Bring
Water.
Any medication you need.
Snacks for before we enter the parade area.
Sun cream, sunglasses or rain protection, depending on the weather.
Comfortable shoes.
A portable phone charger.
Only what you can comfortably carry for several hours.
What Not to Bring
Anything heavy that you cannot carry for several hours.
Loose glitter that is not biodegradable.
Alcohol and drugs are banned from the parade. Anyone found to be under the influence of drugs will not be welcome to march with us.
Accessibility
If you have any access needs, please tell us as early as possible.
Personal mobility aids such as wheelchairs, mobility scooters, trolleys and walking frames are permitted within wristband-only groups, but anyone needing accessibility support should let us know in advance so we can contact Pride’s accessibility team if needed.
Accessible toilets are available at entry points and require a RADAR key. Pride also provides parade accessibility support, including a respite/access bus for registered participants, possible early exit from the parade, and accessibility facilities at Trafalgar Square.
Please note that if someone exits the parade early, they will not be able to re-enter.
Safety and Communication
Please stay with the group and make sure you are in the Queer Theatre Pride in London WhatsApp group and have Andrew’s number before the day
If anything changes on the day, please listen to Andrew and Pride In London volunteers. If you have a question inside the parade area, ask a Pride volunteer rather than security.
Please look after yourself and each other. Pride is joyful, but it can also be loud, crowded and overwhelming. If you need help, tell someone as soon as possible so we can find you help.
Finish Time
We expect to be finished and out of the parade flow between approximately 6pm and 7pm, although timings on the day can change due to delays. Please do not make tight plans immediately afterwards. At the end of the parade, walking groups must turn left through Whitehall Place and keep moving. We may have a post march venue, but we are still working on this.
