Queer Theatre’s Acting Classes for LGBTQIA+ People, Move to Battersea Arts Centre, Omnibus Theatre & The Nell of Old Drury Temporarily.
Queer Theatre’s Acting Classes for LGBTQIA+ People will temporarily move to other venues on selected dates in 2026 while our usual home, the Two Brewers, undergoes a well-earned refurbishment.
We’ll leave Oliver and the Two Brewers team to share their exciting plans in the fullness of time, but we’re delighted for them and can’t wait to see what’s in store for this much-loved space. From what we’ve seen of the plans, it’s going to be sensational.
We’re also excited to confirm that our classes will continue at the Two Brewers in 2027, alongside our OutCast Showcase of Queer Actors and Writers, The Show People Podcast LIVE and many other Queer Theatre events yet to be announced.

Our temporary venues for September & October are:
Monday 28th September 2026: Battersea Arts Centre, Studio 1
Monday 5th October 2026: Battersea Arts Centre, Studio 1
Monday 12th October 2026: The Nell of Old Drury, upstairs space, Covent Garden
Classes will return to the Two Brewers from Monday 19th October until the end of November.
In December, as usual, the Two Brewers’ annual pantomime takes over the club, so our classes will then move to the upstairs rehearsal space at Omnibus Theatre on:
Monday 7th December 2026: Upstairs Rehearsal Space
Monday 14th December 2026: Upstairs Rehearsal Space
Monday 21st December 2026: Upstairs Rehearsal Space
There will be no class on Monday 28th December 2026 (Boxing Day).
Classes will resume at the Two Brewers on Monday 4th January 2027.
How to find Battersea Arts Centre
Enter through the main entrance on Lavender Hill. Turn left and go through the wooden double doors to the left of the Welcome Desk. If you need a hand finding Studio 1, the venue’s friendly box office team will be happy to direct you.

Nearest station: Clapham Junction (National Rail and London Overground), approximately seven minutes’ walk away.
Tube connections: Clapham Common (Northern line) or Stockwell (Victoria line), followed by the 345 bus, which stops outside the venue.

How to find The Nell of Old Drury
You’ll find The Nell of Old Drury on Catherine Street in Covent Garden, opposite the Theatre Royal Drury Lane.
Our class on Monday 12th October will take place in the upstairs space. Enter through the pub’s main entrance and ask at the bar for directions to Queer Theatre’s acting class upstairs.

How to find Omnibus Theatre
Omnibus Theatre is on the corner of Clapham Common Northside and Orlando Road, approximately five minutes’ walk from Clapham Common Tube station.
At the station, take the right-hand exit marked “Clapham High Street/The Pavement/Old Town/Buses”. Turn left outside and follow The Pavement, keeping the Common on your left. The theatre is straight ahead.
Our classes will take place in the upstairs rehearsal space. Ask at the Welcome Desk for directions when you arrive.
