Our third Queer Play Reading Club was a powerful and unforgettable evening of queer theatre, community, and conversation. We began with brand-new scenes and monologues from emerging LGBTQ+ playwrights, showcasing the bold, diverse, and exciting new voices shaping queer theatre today.

The main feature of the evening was a group reading of The Pride by Alexi Kaye Campbell, a moving and courageous play exploring sexuality, shame, and identity across two time periods. We were deeply honoured to be joined in person by Alexi, who generously shared insights into his writing process, experiences, and hopes for queer storytelling.

Spending time with Alexi was as inspiring as it was insightful. His openness, humour, and honesty sparked meaningful discussion among everyone present, making this one of our most resonant and rewarding sessions yet.
