Trip: Valentine’s Day at the Natural History Museum
Saturday 14th February 2025
Natural History Museum, South Kensington
Valentine’s Day can be a tricky one. If you felt the hype, the pressure, the loneliness, or just that sense that everyone else had a plan, this was our alternative: spending the day with queer community instead.
Queer Theatre members met for a gentle, social, no-pressure visit to the Natural History Museum, wandering and chatting at our own pace as we explored some of the most iconic spaces in London. We came face to face with the Tyrannosaurus, took in the Blue Whale in Hintze Hall, and moved through galleries spanning dinosaurs, human evolution, volcanoes and earthquakes, precious gems, and meteorites.
It was a gorgeous way to spend time together outside of our usual classes, to explore our humanity through nature and history, and to remember that connection can be found in the most unexpected places.
