Valentine’s Day Trip: The Natural History Museum
Saturday 14th February 2026 | 11am – 5pm
📍 Natural History Museum, Kensington
Valentine’s Day can be a tricky one. If you’re feeling the hype, the pressure, the loneliness, or just the sense that everyone else has a plan, come and spend the day with your queer community instead.
We’re heading to the Natural History Museum for a shared visit: gentle, social, no-pressure. We’ll come face to face with a Tyrannosaurus, take in the Blue Whale in Hintze Hall, and wander the galleries together, from dinosaurs and human evolution to volcanoes, earthquakes, gems and meteorites.
Bring a camera, a sketch pad, or just yourself. Come for the wonder, stay for the connection. And yes, it’s Valentine’s Day. There’s still love in the air. Who knows who you might meet between the fossils and the gemstones.
🎟️ £10 donation per person for Queer Theatre and the Natural History Museum
Queer Play Reading Club: Feeling Afraid As If Something Terrible Is Going To Happen
with playwright, Marcelo Dos Santos
Tuesday 24th February 2026
📍 The Railway, Clapham
The Queer Play Reading Club is our monthly event in partnership with Nick Hern Books: a supportive, low-pressure, queer-run social space celebrating LGBTQIA+ playwriting.
Each session begins with up to an hour of sharing brand-new queer writing from our members, then we read a full-length published play together, followed by relaxed discussion and Q&A.
This month’s play: Feeling Afraid As If Something Terrible Is Going To Happen
“I’m thirty-six, I’m a comedian, and I’m about to kill my boyfriend.”
A permanently single, professionally neurotic stand-up comedian finally meets his Mr Right, then does everything wrong. Dark, bitingly funny, and painfully human, it’s a one-man show about vulnerability, intimacy, ego and truth. The Fringe First-winning production premiered at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and later transferred to the Bush Theatre.
Special guest:
We’re delighted to announce that Marcelo Dos Santos will be joining us to discuss the play and answer your questions.
Itinerary:
☕ Tea, coffee and snacks from 6:30pm
🎭 7pm start (share new writing, then read the play)
🧠 Q&A with Marcelo Dos Santos and Andrew Keates
📚 Everyone takes home a copy of the play
🍸 Drinks and socialising until 11pm
🎟️ Limited places. Book now to avoid disappointment.
